Having become fascinated with how documentary films present content as factual and thus as (largely) unbiased, whilst simultaneously - and by necessity - deciding what content to present the viewer with, I created a fictional documentary, based around real events and locations during the Second World War. I was particularly interested in the play off between jingoism and tragedy that is often made in historical documentaries. With extended thanks to Norma Cohen.
