Whitstable Tourist Board (2008) (excerpt)
Performance commission for Whitstable Biennale 2008, Whitstable, UK.
For this commission, I created a performative walking tour run by the Whitstable Tourist Board, which doesn't exist. The tour guide – played by an actor – gave a narrative of entirely fictional events and people, linked to real places in Whitstable, and led participants to non-spaces such as car parks and alleyways. The tour lasted 50 minutes.
