Your Culture is Ailing, Your Art is Dead (2013-2014)
I curated and hosted an art and comedy crossover night with comedian and broadcaster Robin Ince.

YCIAYAID was borne out of our frustration with what was/is the managed decline of the arts: Tory government cuts to arts funding and the arts more generally across education, the increasing difficulty to get anything - art, performance, scripts - commissioned of funded, the ever high percentage of those working in the arts hailing from privileged backgrounds, resulting in a decline of experimentation and originality. Line-ups featured artists, comedians, academics, musicians, and poets, and performances included stand up, lectures, academic papers, weird demonstrations, songs, Kinetic sculptures, often a combination of these. Memorable moments include an artist boiling their own urine, a horror writer popularity contest, a comedy lecture about the On The Buses films, and an adult drinking a glass of milk for the first time.

As well as the monthly event in London, YCIAYAID also visited Brighton, Northampton, and the 2014 Latitude Festival, near Southwold, UK.
